In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Atul Kumar Singh of BSP won in this seat defeating Harinarayan of BJP by a margin of 1,22,568 votes which was 10.74% of the total votes cast for the seat. BSP had a vote share of 50.27% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Harinarayan Rajbhar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dara Singh Chauhan of BSP by a margin of 1,46,015 votes which was 14.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 36.53% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Dara Singh Chauhan of BSP won this seat beating Arshad Jamal Ansari of SP by a margin of 60,945 votes which was 7.96% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 28.82% in the seat.
