In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Akshaibar Lal of BJP won in this seat defeating Shabbir Balmiki of SP by a margin of 1,28,752 votes which was 13.01% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 53.12% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Sadhvi Savitri Bai Foole of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Shabbir Ahmad of SP by a margin of 95,645 votes which was 10.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 46.28% in the seat.
