In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dharmendra Kashyap of BJP won in this seat defeating Ruchivira of BSP by a margin of 1,13,743 votes which was 10.8% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 51.07% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Dharmendra Kumar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kunwar Sarvraj Singh of SP by a margin of 1,38,429 votes which was 13.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 41.17% in the seat.
