In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Satyapal Singh Baghel of BJP won in this seat defeating Manoj Kumar Soni of BSP by a margin of 2,11,546 votes which was 18.47% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 56.46% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Ram Shankar Katheria of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Narayan Singh Suman of BSP by a margin of 3,00,263 votes which was 28.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 54.53% in the seat.
