In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Bandi Sanjay Kumar of BJP won in this seat defeating Boianapalli Vinod Kumar of TRS by a margin of 89,508 votes which was 7.8% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 43.4% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Vinod Kumar Boinapally of TRS emerged victorious in this seat beating Ponnam Prabhakar of INC by a margin of 2,04,652 votes which was 18.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TRS secured a vote share of 44.93% in the seat.
