In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dr G Ranjith Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Konda Vishweshwar Reddy of INC by a margin of 14,317 votes which was 1.1% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 40.6% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy of TRS emerged victorious in this seat beating Patlolla Kartik Reddy of TDP by a margin of 73,023 votes which was 6.2% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TRS secured a vote share of 31.46% in the seat.
