In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sumedhanand Saraswati of BJP won in this seat defeating Subhash Maharia of INC by a margin of 2,97,156 votes which was 22.39% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 58.02% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Sumedhanand Saraswati of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Pratap Singh Jat of INC by a margin of 2,39,196 votes which was 22.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 46.86% in the seat.
