In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Rahul Kaswan of BJP won in this seat defeating Rafique Mandelia of INC by a margin of 3,34,402 votes which was 25.17% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 59.59% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Rahul Kaswan of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Abhinesh Maharshi of BSP by a margin of 2,94,739 votes which was 26.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 52.67% in the seat.
