In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Som Parkash of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal of INC by a margin of 48,530 votes which was 4.9% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 42.49% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Vijay Sampla of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Mohinder Singh Kaypee of INC by a margin of 13,582 votes which was 1.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 36.06% in the seat.
