In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sunny Deol of BJP won in this seat defeating Sunil Jakhar of INC by a margin of 82,459 votes which was 7.47% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.58% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Sh Vinod Khanna of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Partap Singh Bajwa of INC by a margin of 1,36,065 votes which was 13.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 46.25% in the seat.
