In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ramesh Chandra Majhi of BJD won in this seat defeating Pradeep Kumar Majhi of INC by a margin of 41,634 votes which was 3.59% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 33.78% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Balabhadra Majhi of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Pradeep Kumar Majhi of INC by a margin of 2,042 votes which was 0.2% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 36.58% in the seat.
