In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Chandrani Murmu of BJD won in this seat defeating Ananta Nayak of BJP by a margin of 66,203 votes which was 5.63% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 44.74% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Sakuntala Laguri of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Ananta Nayak of BJP by a margin of 1,57,317 votes which was 14.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 40.09% in the seat.
