In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Achyutananda Samanta of BJD won in this seat defeating Mahameghabahan Aira Kharabela Swain of BJP by a margin of 1,49,216 votes which was 15.84% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 49.01% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Hemendra Chandra Singh of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Harihar Karan of INC by a margin of 1,81,017 votes which was 21.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 50.88% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Rudramadhab Ray of BJD won this seat beating Suzit Kumar Padhi of INC by a margin of 1,51,007 votes which was 21.34% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD had a vote share of 44.55% in the seat.
