In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Manjulata Mandal of BJD won in this seat defeating Avimanyu Sethi of BJP by a margin of 28,791 votes which was 2.35% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 41.78% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Arjun Charan Sethi of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Sangram Keshari Jena of INC by a margin of 1,79,359 votes which was 16.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 46.46% in the seat.
