In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Chandra Sekhar Sahu of BJD won in this seat defeating Bhrugu Baxipatra of BJP by a margin of 94,844 votes which was 9.58% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 44.83% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Sidhant Mohapatra of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Chandra Sekhar Sahu of INC by a margin of 1,27,720 votes which was 14.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 43.97% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Sidhant Mohapatra of BJD won this seat beating Chandra Sekhar Sahu of INC by a margin of 57,287 votes which was 8.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD had a vote share of 44.95% in the seat.
