In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Suresh Pujari of BJP won in this seat defeating Prasanna Acharya of BJD by a margin of 63,939 votes which was 5.12% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.46% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Prabhas Kumar Singh of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Subash Chouhan of BJP by a margin of 11,178 votes which was 1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 34.12% in the seat.
