In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Vincent H Pala of INC won in this seat defeating Jemino Mawthoh of UDP by a margin of 1,52,433 votes which was 19.44% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 53.51% in 2019 in this seat.
