In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Prataprao Patil Chikhalikar of BJP won in this seat defeating Ashok Shankarrao Chavan of INC by a margin of 40,148 votes which was 3.55% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 43.1% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Ashok Shankarrao Chavan of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating D B Patil of BJP by a margin of 81,455 votes which was 8.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 48.66% in the seat.
