In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ramakant Bhargava of BJP won in this seat defeating Shailendra Rameshchandra Patel of INC by a margin of 5,03,084 votes which was 40.24% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 68.19% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Sushma Swaraj of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Lakshman Singh of INC by a margin of 4,10,698 votes which was 38.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 67.14% in the seat.
