In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Pashupati Nath Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Kirti Azad of INC by a margin of 4,86,194 votes which was 38.81% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 66.01% in 2019 in this seat.
