In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sunil Kumar Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Manoj Kumar Yadav of INC by a margin of 3,77,871 votes which was 40.81% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 57.03% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Sunil Kumar Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dhiraj Prasad Sahu of INC by a margin of 1,78,026 votes which was 24.97% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 41.5% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Inder Singh Namdhari of IND won this seat beating Dhiraj Prasad Sahu of INC by a margin of 16,178 votes which was 3.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. IND had a vote share of 22.86% in the seat.
