In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ramesh Chander Kaushik of BJP won in this seat defeating Bhupinder Singh Hooda of INC by a margin of 1,64,864 votes which was 14.6% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 51.95% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ramesh Chander of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Jagbir Singh Malik of INC by a margin of 77,414 votes which was 7.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 35.23% in the seat.
