In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Rattan Lal Kataria of BJP won in this seat defeating Selja of INC by a margin of 3,42,345 votes which was 26.01% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 56.64% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Rattan Lal Kataria of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Raj Kumar Balmiki of INC by a margin of 3,40,074 votes which was 27.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 50.22% in the seat.
