In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Mahabali Singh of JDU won in this seat defeating Upendra Kushwaha of BLSP by a margin of 84,542 votes which was 9.73% of the total votes cast for the seat. JDU had a vote share of 45.82% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Upendra Kushwaha of RLSP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kanti Singh of RJD by a margin of 1,05,241 votes which was 13.32% of the total votes polled in the constituency. RLSP secured a vote share of 42.9% in the seat.
