In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Queen Oja of BJP won in this seat defeating Bobbeeta Sharma of INC by a margin of 3,45,606 votes which was 19.59% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 57.2% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Bijoya Chakravarty of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Manash Borah of INC by a margin of 3,15,784 votes which was 20.89% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 50.6% in the seat.
