In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, M V V Satyanarayana of YSRCP won in this seat defeating Bharat Mathukumilli of TDP by a margin of 4,414 votes which was 0.36% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 35.24% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Kambhapati Hari Babu of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating YS Vijayamma of YSRCP by a margin of 90,488 votes which was 7.78% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 48.72% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Daggubati Purandeswari of INC won this seat beating Palla Srinivasa Rao of PRAP by a margin of 66,686 votes which was 6.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 36.43% in the seat.
