In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, P V Midhun Reddy of YSRCP won in this seat defeating D A Sathya Prabha of TDP by a margin of 2,68,284 votes which was 21.91% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 57.27% in 2019 in this seat.
