In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy of YSRCP won in this seat defeating Sidda Raghava Rao of TDP by a margin of 2,14,851 votes which was 16.01% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 55% in 2019 in this seat.
