In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Pralhad Joshi of BJP won in this seat defeating Vinay Kulkarni of INC by a margin of 2,05,072 votes which was 16.9% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 56.41% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Pralhad Joshi of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Vinay Kulkarni of INC by a margin of 1,13,657 votes which was 10.92% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 52.38% in the seat.
