In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, P C Mohan of BJP won in this seat defeating Rizwan Arshad of INC by a margin of 70,968 votes which was 5.93% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.33% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, P C Mohan of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rizwan Arshad of INC by a margin of 1,37,500 votes which was 12.79% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 51.84% in the seat.
