In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sudarshan Bhagat of BJP won in this seat defeating Sukhdeo Bhagat of INC by a margin of 10,363 votes which was 1.27% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.41% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Sudarshan Bhagat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rameshwar Oraon of INC by a margin of 6,489 votes which was 1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 34.79% in the seat.
