In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Annpurna Devi of BJP won in this seat defeating Babu Lal Marandi of JVM by a margin of 4,55,600 votes which was 37.67% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 62.25% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Ravindra Kr Ray of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rajkumar Yadav of CPIMLL by a margin of 98,654 votes which was 9.63% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 35.65% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Babulal Marandi of JVM won this seat beating Raj Kumar Yadav of CPIMLL by a margin of 48,520 votes which was 6.22% of the total votes polled in the constituency. JVM had a vote share of 25.55% in the seat.
