In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Arjun Munda of BJP won in this seat defeating Kali Charan Munda of INC by a margin of 1,445 votes which was 0.17% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.94% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Karia Munda of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Anosh Ekka of JHKP by a margin of 92,248 votes which was 12.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 36.53% in the seat.
