In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Farooq Abdullah of JKNC won in this seat defeating Aga Syed Mohsin of PDP by a margin of 70,050 votes which was 37.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. JKNC had a vote share of 57.13% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Tariq Hameed Karra of JKPDP emerged victorious in this seat beating Farooq Abdullah of JKNC by a margin of 42,280 votes which was 13.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. JKPDP secured a vote share of 50.58% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Farooq Abdullah of JKNC won this seat beating Iftikhar Hussain Ansari of JKPDP by a margin of 30,242 votes which was 10.69% of the total votes polled in the constituency. JKNC had a vote share of 51.99% in the seat.
