In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Kishan Kapoor of BJP won in this seat defeating Pawan Kajal of INC by a margin of 4,77,623 votes which was 47.43% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 71.84% in 2019 in this seat.
