In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Nayab Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Nirmal Singh of INC by a margin of 3,84,591 votes which was 31.26% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 55.93% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Raj Kumar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Balbir Singh Saini of INLD by a margin of 1,29,736 votes which was 11.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 36.92% in the seat.
