In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sanjay Bhatia of BJP won in this seat defeating Kuldip Sharma of INC by a margin of 6,56,142 votes which was 50.44% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 70.04% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ashwini Kumar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Arvind Kumar Sharma of INC by a margin of 3,60,147 votes which was 30.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 49.84% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Arvind Kumar Sharma of INC won this seat beating Maratha Virender Verma of BSP by a margin of 76,346 votes which was 9.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 37.57% in the seat.
