In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Rao Inderjit Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Capt Ajay Singh of INC by a margin of 3,86,256 votes which was 26.7% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 60.88% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Inderjit Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Zakir Hussain of INLD by a margin of 2,74,722 votes which was 20.8% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 48.82% in the seat.
