In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dr K C Patel of BJP won in this seat defeating Chaudhari Jitubhai Harjibhai of INC by a margin of 3,53,797 votes which was 28.07% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 61.2% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, K C Patel of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kishanbhai Vestabhai Patel of INC by a margin of 2,08,004 votes which was 18.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 55.05% in the seat.
