In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, CR Patil of BJP won in this seat defeating Patel Dharmeshbhai Bhimbhai of INC by a margin of 6,89,668 votes which was 52.73% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 74.3% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, CR Patil of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Maksud Mirza of INC by a margin of 5,58,116 votes which was 56.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 75.28% in the seat.
