In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Renuka Singh Saruta of BJP won in this seat defeating Khel Sai Singh of INC by a margin of 1,57,873 votes which was 12.33% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 51.8% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Kamalbhan Singh Marabi of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ram Dev Ram of INC by a margin of 1,47,236 votes which was 12.4% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 49.3% in the seat.
