In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Santosh Pandey of BJP won in this seat defeating Bhola Ram Sahu of INC by a margin of 1,11,966 votes which was 8.57% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.65% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Abhishek Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kamleshwar Verma of INC by a margin of 2,35,911 votes which was 20.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 55.6% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Madhusudan Yadav of BJP won this seat beating Devwrat Singh of INC by a margin of 1,19,074 votes which was 14.34% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 52.7% in the seat.
