In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sunil Kumar Soni of BJP won in this seat defeating Pramod Dubey of INC by a margin of 3,48,238 votes which was 24.94% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 59.97% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ramesh Bais of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Satya Narayan Sharma (Sattu Bhaiya) of INC by a margin of 1,71,646 votes which was 13.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 52.36% in the seat.
