In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Chunni Lal Sahu of BJP won in this seat defeating Dhanendra Sahu of INC by a margin of 90,511 votes which was 7.4% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.42% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Chandu Lal Sahu (Chandu Bhaiya) of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ajit Jogi of INC by a margin of 1,217 votes which was 0.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 44.51% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Chandulal Sahu (Chandu Bhaiya) of BJP won this seat beating Motilal Sahu of INC by a margin of 51,475 votes which was 6.63% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 47.81% in the seat.
