In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Santosh Kumar of JDU won in this seat defeating Uday Singh Alias Pappu Singh of INC by a margin of 2,63,461 votes which was 22.83% of the total votes cast for the seat. JDU had a vote share of 54.85% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Santosh Kumar of JDU emerged victorious in this seat beating Uday Singh Alias Pappu Singh of BJP by a margin of 1,16,669 votes which was 11.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. JDU secured a vote share of 41.15% in the seat.
