In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Janardan Singh 'Sigriwal' of BJP won in this seat defeating Randhir Kumar Singh of RJD by a margin of 2,30,772 votes which was 10.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 56.15% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Janardhan Singh Sigriwal of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Prabhu Nath Singh of RJD by a margin of 38,415 votes which was 4.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 37.88% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Uma Shanaker Singh of RJD won this seat beating Prabhu Nath Singh of JDU by a margin of 2,797 votes which was 0.47% of the total votes polled in the constituency. RJD had a vote share of 35.29% in the seat.
