In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Choudhary Mehboob Ali Kaiser of LJP won in this seat defeating Mukesh Sahani of VSIP by a margin of 2,48,570 votes which was 25.71% of the total votes cast for the seat. LJP had a vote share of 52.74% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Chaudhary Mahboob Ali Kaiser of LJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Krishna Kumari Yadav of RJD by a margin of 76,003 votes which was 8.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. LJP secured a vote share of 35.01% in the seat.
