In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, R K Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Raju Yadav of CPIMLL by a margin of 1,47,285 votes which was 13.63% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52.33% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Raj Kumar Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sribhagwan Singh Kushwaha of RJD by a margin of 1,35,870 votes which was 15.21% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 43.78% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Meena Singh of JDU won this seat beating Rama Kishore Singh of LJP by a margin of 74,720 votes which was 13.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. JDU had a vote share of 38.23% in the seat.
