In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Horen Sing Bey of BJP won in this seat defeating Biren Singh Engti of INC by a margin of 2,39,626 votes which was 38.79% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 61.72% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Biren Singh Engti of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Joy Ram Engleng of BJP by a margin of 24,095 votes which was 4.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 39.23% in the seat.
