In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Bellana Chandra Sekhar of YSRCP won in this seat defeating Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati of TDP by a margin of 48,036 votes which was 3.94% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 47.32% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati of TDP emerged victorious in this seat beating Venkata Swetha Chalapathi Kumara Krishna Rangarao Ravu of YSRCP by a margin of 1,06,911 votes which was 9.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TDP secured a vote share of 47.89% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Jhansi Lakshmi Botcha of INC won this seat beating Appalanaidu Kondapalli of TDP by a margin of 60,571 votes which was 5.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 40.36% in the seat.
